VOLUNTARY INSURANCE

"Voluntary benefits" are insurance policies that help protect you and your family from the costs associated with illnesses, injuries and loss of life. They are offered a la carte—so you choose only the policies you want and can afford. Your premiums are deducted automatically from your paycheck. Coverage is portable, so you can keep it if you change jobs or retire.

The new policies, offered through Washington National Insurance Company, include:

  • Cancer
  • Accident & Short-Term Disability *covers maternity
  • Critical Illness
  • Hospital Indemnity
  • Life Insurance – Term & Universal Life

Flexible Spending Accounts with Debit Card

For each of these polices, Washington National pays benefits in cash to you or someone you designate, so you can more easily pay for medical bills, household expenses and other costs.
