Health Plans

Spouses who have access to medical coverage, other than a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), $1,400 or higher, through their own employer are not an eligible dependent for the HCS health plan.  They may, however, be enrolled in any other benefit option we offer.  Spouses who are offered an HDHP only through their employer, are subject to a spousal surcharge.  A Spousal Coverage Affidavit is required to cover a spouse on the HCS health plan, and must be updated every year during Open Enrollment.
