Food Pick-up InformationWe have designated sites throughout the community that will provide meals for pickup for students who are in need during the closure.

All meals are provided free to children ages 0-18. Families do not need to provide proof of school enrollment, income, or free/reduced lunch eligibility.

Children must be present to receive the meal. Extra meals cannot be provided if additional children are not present.

Student Meal Information

Beginning Tuesday, May 26, our summer meal pickup sites began service. These sites will be open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. On Tuesdays, families will be able to pick up three days of meals, and on Fridays, they will receive four days of meals.

Student Meal Delivery 

Summer Meal Delivery for Limited Students

Through a partnership with United Way, a limited number of student meal deliveries are available for families in quarantine or without access to student meal delivery sites. Deliveries will begin on Tuesday, June 23, and take place every Tuesday and Friday throughout the summer. Hamilton County Schools will submit the information for deliveries to United Way on Wednesday for the following week’s deliveries.

Here are the steps to refer a family for support:

Please complete the Summer Care Request Form. Referrals must be made by a HCS staff.

It is required that anyone referring a family must read the waiver statement at the bottom of the form to the family over the phone and initial that they have agreed to the terms of the program.

Referrals are due on Wednesdays at noon for the following week.

Families can expect a delivery between 11 am-2 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. Each family will be contacted on the day of by the delivery driver. All deliveries will follow a contactless delivery procedure.

In the event that a family needs food before the week’s delivery, please send an e-mail with the request to mccray_che@hcde.org. For emergencies, a Care Team member will attempt to retrieve food from a local pantry to make a no-contact delivery to the family.
